About this deal

The HS8features a 8" ultra-responsive woofer that produces the lower and midrange frequencies with clarity and definition so you don't have to worry about flappy, distorted low-end. The 1" dome tweeter provides an extended usable frequency range and gives you a smooth top-end. The bi-amped design of the HS5 means there's a separate amp for both the woofer and the tweeter ensuring high-resolution sound. Design Subwoofers take a lot of power, so it’s no surprise that theHS8Shas 150 watts of power coursing through its purpose-built low-frequency amplifier. Yamaha’s HS Series of studio monitors is the go-to choice for many, many at-home musicians for their impressive balance of power, clarity and price. Simply put, aside from the HS Series, you’ll have a hard time getting this good a response at anywhere near these prices. A Room Control feature allows to you turn down exaggerated low end which can occur when monitors are placed close to walls. If you’re working on electronic or bass-orientated genres where you have to “feel” those sub frequencies, want that extra level of control and have sympathetic neighbours, you can team the HS8 up with Yamaha’s dedicated HS8S subwoofer for a major low-end extension. Whilst you can pair up any compatible subwoofer to the HS8, the HS8S has been voiced to sonically match HS series monitors for the best performance.

The low cut switch adjusts from 80 to 120Hz and can be disabled. The high cut adjusts within the same frequency range. The speaker enclosure on the HS8is designed to eliminate unwanted resonance to ensure a more focused and accurate sound. The dense and durable MDF construction has a damped acoustic response and the rear speaker port further reduces unwanted noise. Form an equilateral triangle with your chosen pair of speakers. You’re going to be the “tip” of the triangle, so measure your distance from them, too. Demand for more products. Due to the overwhelming power above, there will be a need for bass traps and other absorbent products. You’ll need to redo your set-up, especially if you’re putting the Hs8 in small spaces.I've been using Yamaha Nearfield Monitors NS10s for years but I've also used the HS50M which were great for reference

USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.In fact, each component of the Yamaha HS8 monitor has been meticulously researched, designed and optimised to give you incredible signal reproduction. Along with the rest of its components, the large magnet in this 8" woofer has been painstakingly optimised.

Expensive. While the price is affordable compared to competitors, this studio monitor is the most expensive in the Yamaha HS series.

Yamaha Monitor Speakers

We honestly think it’s worth it. It’s priced higher than the other HS models because of the new designs, higher power output, and excellent sound. There won’t be a need to turn the volume up. Every part of your mix will come at the clearest possible sound in whatever space you put the monitor! You get everything from a low-cut switch to both low and high-cut controls with response controls that accommodate detailed settings. Buy the Yamaha HS8 powered monitor from Professional Music Technology now and enjoy fantastic audio achieved through painstaking research, design and development. Yamaha HS8 Active Studio Monitor Matched Pair Specs:

A low resonance enclosure built using a three-way mitre-joint technique ensures that the corners of the speaker are firmly anchored leading to dramatically improved durability and the elimination of unwanted resonances that can colour the original sound. Yamaha's 'Vortex Sound Control' technology is deployed to decrease unwanted airflows around the speaker ports. This in turn reduces audible noise by up to 6dB. Like the Yamaha NS10, the Yamaha HS8 offers incredible clarity, meaning that every single detail can be clearly heard, which makes it perfect as a recording monitor, but also for audiophiles who want to be able to hear absolutely everything on their favorite records. The Yamaha HS8 isn’t quite the NS10, but it is a fantastic alternative that doesn’t disappoint. Sound quality is excellent, whether you’re looking at low or high-end sounds. Everything is clear, controlled, and well-rounded to your ears.

You likely won’t need a subwoofer if you’re running a pair of HS8 monitors, as the standalone low-end performance is so impressive - all the way down to 38Hz! Having a complete picture of all of your music’s frequencies, especially the bass, is key during mixing. The HS8 will convey exactly what’s going on with your lows, which will help you avoid overcompensating and crafting a muddy mix. The compatible subwoofer itself deserves a whole different review, but I can also say it’s worth the price if you need to use it!
