About this deal

Beyond the fit and how the waist trainer is secured, it is also important to determine what level of comfort and material will be best for you. Material: Not only will the material affect the comfort of a waist trainer, it can also play an important role in the durability and longevity of the piece. The most common materials found in waist trainers today are latex, neoprene, nylon, cotton, and polyester. Even after 10+ years of photography, I still haven’t settled on one single type of strap for my cameras. I much prefer swapping and changing depending on my mood, and I encourage you to do the same too. I’m not advocating buying camera gear for the sake of it, but I do believe you can efficiently use multiple camera straps in different situations for various cameras.

Since the fabric is very stretchy, it doesn’t offer as much tough compression and insulation as a traditional waist trainer, but this means it won’t have you feeling like you’re about to pass out either. It works to smooth the waist like shapewear and is a great option for those who can’t stand the pain and pressure of other waist cinchers. If you have a smaller camera, you could also consider the Slide Lite, a thinner version of its big brother (review below). This is by far my favourite cross body camera strap, since it supports the weight so nicely and when adjusted to the correct length, hangs your camera right at your hip where you can grab it. The padded, adjustable strap fits neatly around your hand so you can hold your camera securely without worrying about accidental drops. It is also designed to stabilize your camera while shooting.

On the inside of the strap is a non-slip surface that allows you to have your DSLR or mirrorless camera slung over one shoulder without any worry. If you really want to make the most of the Custom SLR Air Strap, I’d recommend investing in a camera strap attachment called the Custom SLR C-Loop Camera Strap Mount. Gordy camera wrist straps are timeless, stylish, simple, and robust leather straps handmade in the USA. They’re especially popular as a mirrorless camera strap or with Leica and Fuji X100 owners. They fasten around your waist to hold your belongings while you work out,' explains Anthony Langley-Smith, co-founder of sports brand Proviz. 'There are countless options out there, but most running belts are very similar. They usually have a number of compartments, they can be made of different materials and come in a range of sizes, depending on what you need it for.' What to look for in a running belt

It’s rare to use a camera wrist strap to merely have your camera dangling from your wrist, although I’m sure you could do this if you had something ultra-lightweight, like an instant camera. Camera wrist straps are a great way to carry your camera, securing the camera to the wrist without getting in the way. If you need your extra hand, you can let the camera dangle safely from your wrist. Now, having a camera dangling off each hip isn’t an unusual sight, and thanks to a few key leather camera strap manufacturers, you can look pretty damn good while you’re at it ;-) Despite feeling gossamer thin, the Antilano is actually double lined and the use of 30-denier rip-stop nylon (100-denier on the base) protects it from tears, and, combined with the roll-top closure also makes it very waterproof. The internal waterproof liner is velcroed into place, and easily removable, great if you want to shave grams of weight on a dry day, or for taking dry kit into the tent while leaving a soaking bag out to dry. it’s a truly liberating way to carry even the heaviest of camera/lens setups. Still, it really comes into its own with a lightweight compact or mirrorless camera, where you’ll hardly notice the additional weight. Coming as no surprise to anyone, snatched waist queen Kim Kardashian has designed a waist trainer that claims to provide her hourglass figure. Made with a very thin neoprene fabric, the Skims Waist Trainer is practically seamless and can be worn under all types of clothes. On top of that, the fabric is mixed with spandex so it is very stretchy and comfortable to wear. Most waist trainers can only be worn for a few hours, but this design is so smooth, seamless, and comfortable, users can wear it all day as part of their outfit. A waist trainer or waist cincher uses tight compression around the stomach to reduce the size of the waist and create an hourglass look, much like a corset. Waist trainers are also sometimes used during workouts to increase the amount of sweat and heat in the mid-section. In theory, this reduces excess fluids and increases the burning of fat, though there doesn’t appear to be any conclusive evidence for its effectiveness. Furthermore, as a slimming aid, the theory is that the tightness around the stomach may provide the feeling of being full, in turn preventing overeating. Again, there is no concrete evidence in support of this.

Given that I only travel with one bag, I love the ability to use the bag at its smaller 30L capacity and, when needed, expand it to the more beefy 45L, which is the maximum volume for most carry-ons. Fashioned out of neoprene, the same durable but soft material used to make wetsuits, it turned out that this humble camera strap is one of the most comfortable straps I’ve ever tested! It’s a strong enough camera strap for heavy lenses attached to bulky DSLRs but equally suited to smaller mirrorless setups too.

Pros – Really stylish design. Really roomy for such a small case. Super lightweight. Smooth easy-glide wheels. I’ve got to hand it to Peak Design – if they’re not creating innovative camera bags and straps, they’re innovating brand-new ways to carry our precious gear.
