About this deal

I'm going to try and get some pix posted this weekend to help with this thread. I wanted to get a basic tutorial going so folks can get things rolling. A static rangefinder is clipped to the right side of the helmet while the left features another printed tile decorated with a yellow striped pattern. Further printing appears on Boba's shoulder armour, showing the Krybes, a Mandalorian emblem depicting the skull of a Mythosaur in Legends continuity. This is a charming detail and I think the light bluish grey tiles look good too, although this section of the helmet is actually dark green in the movie.

Ford was also unsure if he even wanted to return to the franchise. His role in Star Wars made him a huge name in Hollywood. His interest in exploring other roles, as well as his new starring role in the Indiana Jones movies, meant Ford was seriously considering letting Han Solo remain in the carbonite forever. After much trial and alot of error, i have drawn and printed all of the panels. The advantage to this ovedr buuing the available panels is that i was able to priont them with the details unique to each panel as opposed to post assembly. I'll admit my panels are slighly shallower than the ones available but still in keeping with the design. Each panel is in four sections which are then assembled. Why were they there, anyway? Kershner's biggest motivation for "fixing" the carbon freeze scene was that he was worried there was zero explanation offered as to why Han Solo was being frozen in front of Leia and Chewie. The director was concerned the audience had no idea what Han, Leia, and Chewie knew of Lando and Vader's plans at that moment in the story. If your REALLY talented and have experience you can mix up a batch of roto cast resin and brush it into those seams.

The box for Han Solo begins from a sheet of plywood. The dimensions are not square as the top is actually more narrow than the bottom. Once the bondo has dried (15 minutes), you can remove the part from the RTV mold and being the process again – seven more times to be exact!

Han Solo gets affixed with a good coating of Bondo Epoxy Putty and then wood screws are affixed every 3-5 inches. Introducing the ultimate 3D model of Han Solo frozen in carbonite, meticulously crafted and divided into 15 highly detailed parts for enhanced realism and ease of printing. This iconic scene from the Star Wars saga can now be recreated in your own home with stunning accuracy. I started by looking into using an Arduino Uno which could then control each of the clusters. After researching varius options i opted for a MAX7219 chip. This is a LED driver where individual LEDs can be addrerssed. It is easy to connect it to the Arduino as it only requires three pins. It has low power consumption as technically only one LED is on at time albeit for a short period of time giving the effect of all being on simultaneously. When you receive your HIC from me you will notice the prop is in three sections: The head, mid section, and legs. It's a good idea to have a game plan and decide where and what you want this prop for. Example: Hanging on a garage door, or displaying in your man cave. This is an important step and will make things easier when you decide what your going to use as a mounting surface.

Mark Hamill revealed the ending of ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ was originally much darker

The LEDs are powered by a 12v DC Reg. 1A Switch – meaning they simply get plugged into the wall for power. For this setup, you can drive dozens of LEDs, however for the project I’ll use around 10.

I started off with a zenix box, probably the best prop investment you can make. I scratch built my previous two boxes, so this was a joy to work with. However, Tatooine has longer days due to having two suns, so their year is only 304 days. Solo was frozen on Cloud City on the planet Bespin which follows the Galactic Standard Year of 12 months, and then moved to Tatooine, which has a different year length, so it’s hard to pinpoint exactly how long Han Solo was in carbonite since. Here are all the facts we have. When And Why Was Han Solo Frozen In Carbonite? The Han Solo in Carbonite has and always will be one of my favorite props from the Star Wars saga. I wanted to create a fun, affordable prop for everyone to enjoy. Here is my building tips that I hope will serve you well on your build.

Here's Irvin Kershner, from Star Wars: The Annotated Screenplays: "We tried it again and again with different lines and finally Harrison says, 'I give up, I don't know what the hell to say.' Finally, Harrison says, 'Let's do it one more time and that's it.' So she says 'I love you, and he replies, 'I know.' And it just came out of him and I said 'Cut!'" The box included a thin frame around the edge and small electric router, rounded the edge all around. I then breadboarded the basic circuit and started coding. The arduino platform is exceptionally good and easy to use. I ended up with a circuit which consisted of eight light clusters with the speed and brightness being adustable vie two potentiometers. The three modes, loosly imitated from available footage is selected via an intertupted activated push button.

According to the transcripts from Once Upon a Galaxy, the shooting script as written offered no dialogue to clear this up. Nor did it really explain why Han, Leia, or Chewie were there at all. Kershner explained the issue to Harrison Ford as follows: "You see Harrison, one thing I discovered that is going to affect us crucially is the fact that you [Han] have no way of knowing that you are the one they are going to put in the carbon freeze. They bring all three of you in. But you don't know anything." Canonically, carbonite freezing someone without preparation seems to leave them in a semi-conscious state and subject to extreme pain. Even though Ford ended up returning for the final film in the trilogy, the actor has been very vocal about the fact that he wanted Lucas to kill Han Solo off in Return of the Jedi. Yes, references are made to suspended animation and such. But what does being placed in “suspended animation” actually mean for the subject themselves and their own experience?
