About this deal

On Friday 18 November 2022 we held a special member only event to celebrate and launch the future of this organisation. We have seen great change in the needs of writers as artists. Our region and our writers are not static. In representing ourselves anew we turn toward language that reflects our liberated vision for the next quarter-century. Your cut-out-and-keep guide to tonight’s Bristol Street Motors Trophy draw! - Des Jnr 24/11/2023, 10:28:25 TRE and suedehead I will probably use both boards depending on what’s being discussed but like many I much prefer the old format, for someone not PC savvy like me it’s much simpler and basic and its evolved over a very long time to what it is now, which I accept for many especially those under 50 is far too basic and boring.

Marion leads the organisation across all business areas, working with a wide range of professionals from the public, voluntary and private sectors with partnership programmes across the UK and beyond. She has over 30 years’ experience of working within Community Learning and Development and Education. Re: FAO Phil Ledger Alizaybak and anyone else who is interested. - The Chairman 18/11/2023, 5:56 pm Messages after 1:00am, and fuelled by alcohol, are not advised! OAFC time is now 28/11/2023, 7:57 am We are specifically seeking a person with the necessary experience to takeon the role of Treasurer and someone tolead the fundraising subcommittee. The owners and administrators of SCSM make no claims that information dispersed through messageboards or other means is accurate or reliable. In addition, the owners and administrators of SCSM cannot be held liable for any statements made by users of SCSM. Users are responsible and liable for all activities while participating on SCSM. Users are responsible for anything they post and for protecting their own computer system. It forced people to post here or not at all and that is why for some "they haven’t given it a go", call it sour grapes call it what you want it doesn’t take away from the fact you have alienated a lot of people such as Dosser, Matty and scb which is very sad. The new board is indeed a success and probably very few people will want to stay just on or return to the old board but as scb states I too still don’t understand what some posters there stand to gain from wanting this place closed down, it will make no difference to them or the new board, we are just enjoying our own company and once Boardhost folds so will we from posting.

By registering for SCSM, you agree to indemnify The SCSM Owners and Administrators and hold them free from all claims (including claims for legal fees) which may arise from your participation on SCSM. You also agree that the owners and administrators of SCSM are not responsible for the materials posted by user/s of SCSM. Kirsty joined the team in January 2017 after having spent her professional career as a CLD practitioner, primarily working in Adult Learning, Adult Literacies and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). She has a BA in Community Education, M.Sc in Adult & Continuing Education and a PG Certificate in Adult Guidance and has recently completed a HE Certificate in digital learning design. Kirsty is a keen advocate of learning as a means to promoting empowerment, enhancing inclusion and achieving social justice. I am highly supportive of Marion/ in the organisation’s efforts to better focus its support for local writers. This is a critical organisation for the support, coordination, collaboration, promotion and advancement of authors and poets in the Canberra region. I am encouraged by the plan developed by the executive and board to professionalise its services, with a greater emphasis on taking writers who have begun to establish themselves to the next level. I support the name change to Marion to better reflect this change in emphasis.” - CHRIS HAMMER Those of us who are planning to be in Selma to honor the struggle for voting rights and economic justice should be willing to protest and engage nonviolently if politicians attempt to do moral harm to the memory and the sacredness of what happened on Bloody Sunday," declares the letter. "This is no time for foolishness, photo-ops, and flaky commitments."I tried the new format and it is not for me so I know whatever happens with this place, if boardhost decide to call time on it I won’t be using the new one, I would get County news of Facebook I imagine What is the Indigenous voice to parliament, how would it work, and what happens next?Lorena Allam, The Guardian, 14 August 2023 All posts on this message board are posted by individuals acting in their own right and do not necessarily reflect the views of the message board administrator in any way. Individual posters agree not to post any defamatory or libellous posts and will accept full responsibility for the items they post. You must not: Defame, abuse, harass or threaten others or make any bigoted, hateful, or racially offensive statements. You must not post or distribute any vulgar, obscene, discourteous, or indecent language or images. u201cAhead of the 58th anniv. of Bloody Sunday, @brepairers is joined in this call by Rev. Liz Theoharis @liztheo, Hank Sanders, Faya Rose Toure, Rev. Mark Thompson @ministter, Rebecca Marion, Board Chair, Bridge Crossing Jubilee, Rev. Carolyn Foster of the @AlabamaPPC, and others.\u201d — Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II (@Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II)

The letter also demands urgent action on living wages and investments in rural areas, stressing that millions of people—particularly in Southern states—live "in poverty and low-wealth conditions" and remain "uninsured or underinsured at a time when we have more people on healthcare than ever before," three years into the Covid-19 pandemic. Unfortunately I find that debating on the new board has become too personal for some, it’s not now a matter of what’s posted but who posted it.All communications between users of SCSM posted to the message board are public and not private communications. The opinions and viewpoints expressed by users of SCSM are their own and not necessarily those of the owners and administrators of SCSM. The owners and administrators of SCSM reserve the right to remove any messages with or without notice. The owners and administrators of SCSM also reserve the right to ban users for any reason without notification.

Highlighting research that shows tens of millions of Americans face some form of voter suppression, the letter leaders argue that if Biden and other politicians plan to visit Selma—which was recently devastated by a tornado—for the Bloody Sunday anniversary, they should "declare that the fight for voting rights and the restoration of what they marched across that bridge for is not over."

Development Officer – Policy and Practice

Katy replaces outgoing CEO Meg Wilson whose strong and compassionate leadership steered the organisation through the difficulties of the pandemic into our rebranding as MARION, an organisation dedicated to elevating writers and their art. The board thanks Meg for their care and dedication and is excited to continue engaging with them as a member.” said MARION Chair, Emma Batchelor. All the "bells and whistles" are to me huge negatives but obviously to many others these are huge positives and they simply cannot understand why we "dinosaurs" could possibly not want change!
