About this deal

Again, as I stated in my review, restricted FOV is to be expected in ANY high-end variable power binocular... at least with the current level of technology development. I would not denigrate a pair of binoculars like the Minox 10-15x40 because of this factor alone - if it were combined with other problems such as geometric abberations or a dim view (as is SO common with inexpensive variables...) then it would be a deal killer. However, the Minox have SUCH a lovely image, I'm willing to live with a restricted FOV as a tradeoff for the added flexibility that the variable power offers. The 14 x 40 shed plans are made for anyone who wants a storage building without the high cost. They come with an 8'-1" wall height that can accommodate pre-hung factory-built doors. The roof pitch is 10/12 with a 4/12 pitched porch. They come with a materials list and 5 foundations. These plans can be customized to fit your unique needs. It's the perfect place for storing tools, gardening tools, or anything else you want to store.

The amplitude would need to be about 1/10th as much to be acceptable to view without strain and to be unnoticed. Another very important factor to keep in mind when opting for a high powered binocular is the size of the exit pupil (shaft of light exiting the ocular lens). Calculated by dividing the objective lens diameter (in this case 40mm) by the magnification (14x), the exit pupil on the Fuji TECHNO-STABI TS-X 1440 will be about 2.8mm in diameter. The case has custom-made foam to hold the batteries (4-AA, included), binoculars and flotation strap. The similar Canons used to be more expensive. The Canons have become less expensive over the years, and now cost less than the Fujinons.

A wide view is just about always desired but is especially important at closer ranges when viewing moving objects as it makes it easier to locate the subject in your view and then follow it. It works as claimed, even from a small plane or while walking! I kid you not, it stabilizes the wild motion when viewing out a C172 window. It's best to hold them with a delicate touch with finger tips to decouple the higher frequency vibration from them. They can't compensate as well for the engine vibration if you grab them tight. They easily can compensate for all the whoop-de-does from the plane buffeting around. Amazing. The images were slightly yellow. There was a Soviet near-copy, the Peleng. Fraser-Volpe had the original patent, IIRC, and used the spinning inertial wheel gyro. That is another story, which predates the Kamakura 12 x 40 Techno- Stabi, and the Canon variable liquid wedge systems.

While this makes it suited to everyday use, it’s not only the built-in image stabilization – as also used in Canon EF lenses for its camera range – that provides us with a sharp and clear view, but also a Super Spectra Coating to the glass. The prisms move around on gimbals to counteract motion. I see them listed both as roof and porro elsewhere at different dealers. Who cares? The proof is in the viewing. This implies a lot more than three hours of use with alkalines. I'll let you know when I kill my first set.

They have shut off from standby. It may take three minutes in standby to shut off; I haven't timed it. The amplitude of the oscillations is at a guess about 0.5 arcminutes. I'll try to fix this more accurately. So besides the Image stabilisation, let’s take a look at the main optical features and specifications on these FUJINON TECHNO-STABI TS-X 14x40 binoculars: 14x Magnification

Multicoated with two cemented surfaces in the front and maybe one cemented surface at the rear of each barrel. Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body. weeks ago the first company rang and asked how did we do with fixing the problem. I said you didn't.The first pair of binoculars that caught my attention (and finally opened my wallet!) was, unbelievably, a VARIABLE POWER pair by Minox - and a high-power (10x-15x) pair at that! Who would have guessed? Perhaps the Fuji IS binoculars are not as widely available as the Canons. I see the Canons everywhere online. I have yet, until this review, to run across the Fuji IS more than just one or two brief mentions. Also notice how there was no mention of the quality of the optics - just the build and the IS. The review completely bypassed optical quality and performance. I've heard several Canon owners describe the optics as very sharp, flat, and contrasty. The Fujinons use sold glass prisms in rotating gimbals, so no quality is lost as they deflect to counter motion. The Fujinons are as sharp with IS on or off; their prisms always have parallel sides. The Canons' wet bags are deflected from parallel (made trapezoidal) to counter motion as it happens. Look for yourself: the Canons fade in and out of sharpness; it's not your imagination. The Fujinons stay sharp. Who cares how sharp they are with IS off? I bought these to use with IS ON. This is very small: During the day and in good light this won’t be an issue, but when the light conditions are not ideal and the pupils in your eyes expand, these binoculars will not be able to supply them with enough light for you to perceive a bright image.

Are these TS-X 14 x 40 just a re-bodied version of the Kamakura 14 x 40, or have there been any significant internal/performance changes? To be brutally honest with you, I find the field of view to be barely tolerable on the low-end of the magnification range (10x) and somewhat reasonable on the upper-end (15x). I will probably keep these binoculars set at somewhere between 12X and 15X for most of their usable life, as I find the 10x setting to have a somewhat unpleasant tunnel-like quality to it. However, the use of Hyper-Clarity as a model name, is going to invite very careful optical comparisons Shining a bright torch through the binocular it is fairly clean, but with small fine dust slightly visible, more on one side than the other. Much less than many used Nikon lenses. After six months of casual use I started to notice a little less ability to reduce shake. I noticed that the green ON light would sometimes blink when I moved the binoculars rapidly. Oddly I'd see the image wobble in synchronization with my heartbeat, and noticed the green light would blink off at the same rate.A 14x40 shed house interior is an affordable way to build a cabin that suits your lifestyle.
